Evidence & how it works
See what the balanced plan buys you, and what the scheduler can and cannot do.

Simple plan

Same task order, but every half-hour is stacked onto the earliest eligible day.

Both plans process tasks earliest-deadline-first with importance breaking ties, and neither exceeds a day's free hours or moves a deadline. Day spread is the standard deviation of daily load — lower means more even days. These are heuristics, not an optimal solver, and the comparison covers scheduling only.
